Men of Orange was established in 2016, but the story behind it started many years earlier. Koen and Eefje met as colleagues in the fashion industry and soon discovered they shared a similar view on product, sourcing and production, as well as the importance of strong relationships with the people behind it.
Their jobs took them around the world, developing collections and working with manufacturers, fabric mills and suppliers across different countries and product categories. They worked hard, negotiated even harder to get the right prices, travelled a lot and, just as importantly, had plenty of fun along the way.
Those years shaped their product knowledge and production experience and created an international network that continues to be the foundation of Men of Orange today.

With years of experience in sourcing and production management and many air miles under my belt from previous roles, I’ve had the opportunity to build a strong network of trusted manufacturers around the world. The challenges I’ve encountered along the way, whether in production, logistics, meeting price targets or exploring new production regions, have shaped me and my network, making it what it is today. I know that getting the product right is only one part of the job; aligning people, expectations and timing is just as important.
I love being in the middle of the action: talking to suppliers, keeping production moving and stepping in when things don’t go exactly according to plan. I’m naturally positive and always look for a way forward, even when situations seem complicated. For me, there is always a solution to be found by staying positive, thinking practically and bringing the right people together. I value straightforward communication, practical solutions and partnerships built on trust and respect, wherever in the world they may be.

Design, workmanship and cost all need to come together to create a product that works. With a strong focus on product, quality and efficiency, I advise clients on how to develop products that are not only well designed, but also technically well thought through, commercially viable and achievable at the right target price.
I look at the complete picture: from fabric and trim selection, garment construction and fit to production methods, quality requirements and cost efficiency. I enjoy getting into the details, anticipating technical challenges and finding practical solutions before they become problems. By following the right processes and thinking ahead about workmanship and production, I help clients make the right decisions and create products that perform well in terms of design, quality, sustainability and on time delivery.

Having worked on both the brand and production side of the fashion industry, we knew how important it was to have the right people around the table. People who understand the product, know the manufacturers and can solve problems when they arise. Over the years, our network has grown across Europe, Asia and South America, from fabric mills and specialist manufacturers to large-scale production facilities. Some relationships go back many years, others are new, but the way we work has stayed the same: direct, involved and close to both the brand and the manufacturer.
